We can confirm that the final number of entrants for the Red Rose 100 is 547. Anyone withdrawing now will not have their entry fee refunded. A list of entrants will be available soon.

Please update any details that may have changed since you entered. For example, your mobile phone number (and that of your emergency contact). Please advise if there have been any changes in your medical status as well. Those of you who are taking regular medication please remember it is your responsibilty to carry with you all the medicines you require throughout the walk.

There will be a kit check on the Red Rose 100.

We are pleased to announce that the main event at 10am will be started by a long serving member of the LDWA: Reg Kingston MB Ch B, FRCS, OBE. In his long association with the LDWA Reg has completed challenge walks, written for Strider and organised the AGM. He has also been Walks Secretary for East Lancs club.

We are also pleased to announce that the runners at 2pm will be started by the recently retired Chair of the LDWA and mentor for this event, John Sparshatt. John needs little introduction for his outstanding work and committment to the LDWA.
