Situated in beautiful Glenglass, sheltered by Ben Wyvis, this comfortable bunkhouse is named after the breathtaking Black Rock Gorge. It is an ideal base for touring the highlands and seeing wildlife, including seals in the Cromarty Firth and dolphins at Cromarty. Highland Games are held throughout the area. It is sited at the eastern end of a hikers' route across Scotland and on the Lands End to John O'Groats route for walkers and cyclists. The village has a general shop, PO, bus service and an inn (serving good bar meals and breakfasts) 250m away. Available to groups or individuals, accommodation is in four rooms of four and one room for 1. Blankets are available and sheet sleeping bags can be hired. There is a self-catering kitchen and dining area with TV, showers and launderette facilities. There is also a camping ground. All areas of the bunkhouse are easily accessible by wheelchair and suitable for the disabled.
