Come and experience the peace of this unique location in the remote Tywi valley. A stay in this 17th century farmhouse will take you into an era before electricity; solar panels provide hot water for the taps and showers and LED lighting downstairs but the dormitories are unlit. There is a well equipped kitchen, but no fridge, a dining room and a cosy common room. There is also a wheelchair friendly room. Dolgoch is a traditional simple hostel now owned by the Elenydd Wilderness Trust. It has 20 beds in 3 dormitories of 4, 6 and 10 bunk beds.
Camping space around hostel also available.
The Lôn Las Cymru (Welsh National Cycle Route) and the Cambrian Way pass nearby and there are many other mountain tracks to explore on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The location is also ideal for bird-watchers and lovers of solitude. The hostel is close to an old drovers track which leads over the heathy Cambrian mountains for 5 miles to the equally remote and simple Ty'n Cornel Hostel.
