Noran Bank Farm on the south side of Lake Ullswater is close to the small village of Patterdale and only 5 minutes walk away from the Coast to Coast. It lies nestled under Arnison Crag with wonderful views up the valley towards Kirkstone Pass. Shepherd's Crook bunkhouse is a high standard conversion of a barn adjacent to the 17th century farm house. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a seating area in which to relax. One bedroom has a double bunk bed and en-suite shower room and the other sleeps 6 in bunkbeds. Duvets, linen and towels are provided. There are toilets and a wetroom with 2 showers. Breakfast and packed lunches can be supplied by request in the summer months and meals are available in Patterdale and Glenridding. The bunkhouse is ideal as a meeting place for friends or walkers passing through on the Coast to Coast Trail. Park your car and spend days walking the fells in all directions: Helvellyn, High Street, Fairfield, Dovedale are all in reach and you can take the Ullswater Steamer to Howtown and walk back. Well behaved dogs at owners discretion.
