Greenwich Meridian Trail - Cambridge loop

Cambridgeshire

From Meldreth the route more or less meanders along the valley of the River Cam (or Rhee). At Grantchester you walk beside the river where Rupert Brooke and his friends used to swim before WW1. In Cambridge you pick up the river again, passing the place to hire a punt, if you fancy having a go. The route out of the city follows the Wimpole Way (which is also part of the Harcamlow Way) which takes you to Hardwick, passing on the way the towering University Library.
