Tennyson Trail

Isle of Wight

23 km / 14 miles
A challenging route across the Island from Newport to Alum Bay on the west coast over Bowcombe Down, Brighstone Down, Mottistone Down, Compton Down, Tennyson Down and West High Down. The Tennyson Monument and the Needles are passed. From the downland ridge there are extensive views across the island and the sea.

The Bembridge and Tennyson Trails are part of the E9 Isle of Wight variant: see E-Routes (E9).
