The Dylan Thomas Trail takes you through the beautiful countryside of Ceredigion. It passes the villages, farms and mansions where Dylan lived and wrote, and introduces you to many of the pubs where he enjoyed a pint and the conversation of local characters. Starting in the sea-faring village of llanon, the trail follows ancient footpaths and quiet country lanes to Tal-sarn and then to Aberaeron. From here, it continues along the heritage coast, with fine views of Cardigan Bay and its bottle-nosed dolphins. The walk finishes in New Quay with a vivid description of the people and streets that so influenced the writing of Under Milk Wood.
This guide will also be of great interest to armchair fans of Dylan. It contains lots of new and fascinating information-all illustrated with superb photographs and period advertisements, which convey the atmosphere of the Cardiganshire that Dylan knew and loved, and which inspired some of his finest writing.
