The well-designed booklet comes with route directions, notes of interest and colour photographs. An essential guide for those who want to go beyond the normal routes on offer.
An OS map should be carried as the booklet includes a schematic map only and while the directions are clear, the forest abounds in tracks and is remote in parts. The Explorer (or Active) 135 is recommended as the whole route is on one map.
