The LDWA AGM weekend took place in Llandrindod Wells over the first weekend in March. There were four walks of various lengths on the Saturday as well as alternative activities. The Annual Dinner was followed by a talk by Bob Pettigrew, former British Mountaineering Council President, about life and mountaineering in India.
Over 120 members attended the AGM itself on Sunday morning which saw a changeover of Chair, with Tony Willey handing the baton on to Paul Lawrence. Tony Deall and Nicole Carbonara were also elected to the National Committee, to replace Tim Glenn and Eva Bowes who had both completed five year terms. A wide ranging open discussion forum included topics such as the LDWA's role in environmental issues, limiting sizes of breakfast bags on 100s and the value of the annual local groups meeting.
