Funeral Arrangements Telford Crematorium Woodhouse Lane, Telford TF2 9NJ 1300 Tuesday 4th December 2012 followed by a walk and refreshments. We are very sad to report the sudden death at the age of 69 of Chris Dawes, a founder of the Marches group and a very long-standing LDWA member (his number was 291). Chris, a legendary long distance walker and Hundred organiser, was one of a handful of people to have completed all three Great American Trails – Pacific Crest, Great Continental Divide and the Appalachian Trail. His funeral will be held at Telford crematorium at 1pm on Tuesday 4th December 2012 followed by a walk and a buffet meal. Inquiries to Harry Edwards Funeral directors 01952 244949. It would be helpful for catering if anyone who hopes to attend would let the funeral directors know.
