A message from David Morgan, National 100s Coordinator, and the 100s Sub-Committee:
In recent years, the LDWA has worked with the organisers of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) in order to enable successful completions of the annual '100' to attract points that are needed to qualify for the gruelling alpine event.
However, due to a change in how the qualifying events are now vetted, the knowledge that only about 10 members took advantage of the qualifying points that the 100 attracts in 2014, combined with a requirement that the LDWA pays 100 Euros, a decision has been taken to not support this process forthwith.
This decision has not been taken lightly and we apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause.
