The South Wales LDWA group will organise the 2020 '100' mile walk. The application to host the event was ratified at the NEC meeting in Nottingham on 22 October 2016.
The name of the event will be announced in due course but the South Wales group can already say that the route will be based on the county of Monmouthshire. The projected height ascent will be about 14500 ft. It will visit the Brecon Beacons National Park, follow the Offa's Dyke National Trail, explore the Wye Valley, visit the Norman town of Chepstow, walk along the coastline and follow the Usk Valley Walk.
More information will follow from the organising committee in due course.
