The LDWA website was subjected to a cyber attack on 26 November resulting in a change of members' home addresses using what we believe to be an automated process. We took prompt action to protect the website by closing it so that we could investigate the impact and origins of the breach.

Unfortunately, these forms of attack are common, but our volunteers and IT support company have reacted promptly and we were able to restore the website from back-ups, reversing the changes. The website was back online on the 28 November. We are pleased to confirm that there is no evidence of any data theft. We are continuing the development work on our new website to ensure that we are protected in the future.
