Longrigg Residential Centre is within walking distance of Sedbergh, only 10 miles from Kendal and less than 10 minutes from the M6, an ideal location for exploring the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. The centre stands in its own grounds and overlooks the unspoilt splendour of the Howgill Fells. Perfect for mixed groups or families. Walking cycling, canoeing, and caving are nearby. The centre has recently been refurbished. It has two dormitories sleeping 6 in the main building and a larger separate building sleeping 20 in dormitories of 2,4,6 and 8. There are ample shower and toilet facilities. Sleeping bags and pillowcase are required. The large kitchen is equipped for group catering. The lounge has easy chairs and gives access to the patio area. A separate games room has pool table TV and table football. There is a drying room and tumble dryer. The Centre holds an Adventure Activity Licence and can offer instruction and equipment. Entry is by a touch lock system. The centre is owned by an Education Authority and complies with relevant Health and Safety requirements.
