Barrington Bunkhouse is situated in Rookhope in the stunning surroundings of Weardale. Rookhope is a pleasant sleepy little village with a shop and a primary school, and is situated in an AONB. Next door is The Rookhope Inn for a welcome pint and a very substantial meal. The Bunkhouse provides clean, comfortable accommodation with a self service continental breakfast ready for your days activities ahead. There are kettles, toasters and a microwave. Eggs are supplied which can be scrambled or poached. A microwave poacher is supplied. Anyone is welcome, especially cyclists on the Sea 2 Sea (C2C), walkers on the Weardale Way and groups visiting the area. There are 12 bunk beds with an additional fold-up bed if needed. All bunks have a personal reading light. It has a fully fitted disabled wet-room with toilet, basin and shower, plus one able bodied shower and separate toilet. There is a large cast iron multi-fuel stove used from October to March and oil-filled radiators to provide extra warmth. There is a tumble dryer, and a hair dryer is available on request. Visitors can also camp on the lawns - some camping equipment is available.
