As walkers, we often walk through abandoned farmsteads, or see evidence of a former way of life with the lumps and bumps on the ground representing long forgotten communities. It's interesting to note that this has happened in our lifetime. The Valleys 100 route passes through Troedrhiwgwair (pronounced troyed ur gwire). This was a thriving community village with a school and pub. Now it has about 7 houses. This video tells you why!!
