An excellent walk - a lovely route and superb catering at the checkpoints and at the end. Many thanks to you and your team of volunteers for putting it on.

Hi,

Wife and I are signed up for the Ponton Plod this weekend. We are staying in Nottingham and the intention was public transport out to Ponton. Alas that doesn't seem to be an option on a Sunday. Could somebody suggest an affordable way from Nottingham out to Gt. Ponton? A taxi seems to be around the £100 mark.

Well, thanks are definitely due to Stuart for organising such a superb event - meticulous marking of all three routes, and superb food at checkpoints and at the finish. And how he managed to keep the rain off us when the forecast was so dire I shall never know :-)

If you think Lincolnshire is potentially boring, you'll think again after seeing the lovely - and sometimes surpisingly undulating - countryside on this route. The event (and the children's home in India that it supports) will certainly be worth continuing to support in future years.

Thanks to everyone who took part in The Ponton Plod yesterday. To the relief of everyone the forecast of heavy rain in the afternoon never came, just a couple of showers.
Hope to see everyone back for next years event on September 14th.
