After 18 months out injured it was a delight to get back to serious walking.

Great event in a superb part of the country - perhaps a touch of bias as I live just 15 minutes from the start. Top notch organisation and a well designed route avoiding some, but certainly not all, of the flood induced boggy areas. Sunny and dry to start but then the wind and rain arrived and stayed adding to the challenge.

On a more general note I preferred not having a detailed route description. I would suggest that using a map and compass to navigate your way is an essential part of the challenge as opposed to following a written description. Just a thought.
