He's on the last leg now, with a very large contingent of fell runners, friends etc. running with him and cheering him on. It has been a massive run with over 300 miles and 35,000m of ascent on the fells. Looks to take about 10 hours off Joss,s record, a lot of pain I think!

Wow that will be an achievement to beat Josh Naylor's record. These records keep being broken -up mountains without oxygen and using just crampons and ice axe etc. But how far can the human body go? Is there a limit as to how far/fast a human being can actually go? Bearing in mind we are humans!

I am struggling with the fact I am 60 and getting older and non the wiser! And chin up and all that- but the chin is heading down with gravity along with my boobs! Eileen

Hopefully later today Steve Birkinshaw will set a new record for completing all the 214 tops, beating the legendary Joss Naylor's previous record. He has been running solid 20 hour days for a week, incredible achievement when he finishes. Have a look at his site, much suffering now.
