"The long hours on the checkpoints were made worthwhile by the enthusiasm of the competitors."

Shouldn't that be 'participants'?

I took part in this event the first time around and thoroughly enjoyed it, just sorry I missed taking part in this walk.

Thanks Ian, we really appreciate your support. Having walked the route a few times now, we still find it a wonderful route. The long hours on the checkpoints were made worthwhile by the enthusiasm of the competitors.
Glad you enjoyed It. Eva Bowes - Events Committee, Afoot in Two Dales.

You're right, it is a good event, we did it in 2004. To answer your question.... we were walking in the Berwyns, had the hills to ourselves for two days, wonderful. M & DFH

Fantastic event - great organisation, good food, enthusiastic checkpoints, really good route for both walkers and runners.

The only thing missing was enough entrants. Where were you?

This must be the best 50 miler in the north of England - don't let it fade away.

If it is run again - don't miss it.
