At the AGM in Easingwold in March, we had the familiar 'freecycle' where members bring walking gear which they no longer need, or gifts which duplicate items they already have. Donations are made as goods change hands. This year the chosen charity was the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team which did such a sterling support job at Greg's Hut on the Hadrian Hundred. I was able to send them £50. I am sorry for the delay in telling you all what the outcome was, but I had been promised a confirmation of the donation, which I could share with you all, so I held off for a while. I know the team was very busy, and I guess events have overtaken them. Thank you to those who gave and those who bought, and thus enabled us to lend a small helping hand to a good cause.
