Getting close to 5000 miles is impressive I am nearly up to 3000 miles doing the yorkshire 3 peaks new years eve should get me there. A lot of my miles have been local to me done in the lockdown not as impressive as where you live and tough walking there. Will be doing the Hangover hike new years day as well so that will be a good start to the new year with Peter.

I have had a few gps machines but like socialising with group walks but with covid having to walk on my own a lot. Me and Carmel did the Marsden Moor Miander on Wednesday and the weather was brutal. when I got back to the car which we parked at the car-park at the side of the mast near the pennine bridge M62 my batteries in the car fob had gone due to the extreme cold so could not get in. I walked about trying to heat it up with my warm breath and eventually got in .

Indeed all good here in the Calder Valley , as I send this enjoying a fine Porter from a local brewery : I was on a 22 miler today from Grassington in perfect crisp cold clear winter weather with a light dusting of snow on the tops : two more walks & I'll hit the 5000 miles walked for 2020 . Has Santa brought you a gps by chance ?
