Hi Guy
I did the oxon last year and there was a couple of tough sections . I also found the ground was really hard Limestone and was tough on the feet. This I did not expect and made it really demanding.
Hope to do this year Fingers crossed.

In the absence of organised challenge events, I've been downloading the routes for the previous Oxon 40s from the Thames Valley LDWA website. I have been slowly working through them. It's been great to be able to do these challenge walks without the 13/13.5 hour time limit but also tough without any support. I now know the Chilterns between Henley and Stokenchurch very well! The best thing is that old ones are being added, and at a rate quicker than I am walking them!

Many thanks for everyone involved in the previous events and for those involved in putting up the old GPX routes onto the website. It is really appreciated.

Best regards,
Guy
