The annual LDWA 100 is organised by volunteers. The planning can take several years and many hours of dedication in order to present a route that entrants will love and to ensure that the food provided sustains the entrants on their 100 mile journey. There are of course many other facets to organising this flagship event, bit one thing is for sure, it becomes all encompassing. The organisers of Trans-Pennine 100 were delayed by Covid-19 and in all dedicated six years of their lives to ensuring that the LDWA 100 family could enjoy the route they offered. Their selflessness should never ever be underestimated.
This video sums up their feelings at the end.
This is the final video in the Trans-Pennine 100 series and I wish to thank and applaud Simon Pipe for the work he has undertaken on behalf of everyone involved in this event. He'll be out again this year, so please do say hello if you see him!
