Did this run / walk last year and it really is an excellent event and I'm coming back again this year. Well organised, and surprisingly scenic, so don't be put off by its close proximity to a city. Give it a whirl - definately highly recommended!!!

This event takes place on Sunday, 2nd September. So far, we have only 25 entries. If you are one of the 'promises', then please could we have your entry. It would make our planning and preparation so much easier. We do not want to suffer the same fate as Pewsey (see thread on cancelled events).

A Coventry Way is right in the centre of England, so must be within reasonable travelling distance for many walkers and runners. For an idea of what it is like, see comments on the forum from last year's event. We are very flexible. You can walk or run the whole 40 miles or take part in a relay (max 8). There is also a choice of start times between 6 and 10 am. So we cater for everyone. 7 checkpoints plus a water stop provide a range of food and drink. We are working on supplying hot drinks at the halfway CP. There is also a meal, jelly and ice cream at the end.

Although the route is never more than 5 miles from the centre of Coventry, you will be pleasantly surprised at the footpaths, bridleways etc that it incorporates. A Coventry Way Association members work extremely hard on a regular basis to replace a lot of the stiles with kissing gates and on clearing the paths of nettles etc.
