Hi Richard, I know this is a very old post. Did you ever have the spinal fusion surgery? I am 7 weeks post op. I had the spinal decompression and fusion with lots of metal work thrown in or should I say screwed in. I am hoping to carry on with my long distance walking and challenge events but I am struggling to find any information or advice.

A specialist has told me that I may well need posterior lumbar fusion at some point. Any one out there had this done or know of others. Need to know how it affects distance walking.
