Unfortunately I've been ill this week with the flu and am still recovering so the Welsh 3000s will have to wait :-( The only consolation is that, as you say, the weather forecast for his weekend is pretty iffy.

Dear me. The Welsh 15 becomes the Welch 16. Thankfully I last did the Welch 15 before 2007 (North to South over 2.5 days with a big backpack) so clambering over yet more rock on the Glyders was not an issue. I did always wonder if Garnedd Uchaf was a big enough lump to count so normally split the difference and call the expedition the Welch Fourteen and a Half.
Best of luck, Guy. The weather forecast is looking a bit unkind but the route is well worth returning to more than once.

Remeber that 'Castell y Gwynt' was classified as a 'Nuttall' in 2007 after re-surveying, so you might want to detour slightly and include that top.

Hi,

I'm planning to walk the Welsh 3000s in Snowdonia on July 18th or 19th. It's a 30 mile linear walk over the 15 Welsh peaks over 3000ft. The total ascent is about 10,000ft. More details are at http://www.welsh3000s.co.uk/.

If you are interested in joining me please either reply here or email me at w3@anely.com.

Thanks,
Guy
