Grand Union Canal Walk: Aylesbury Arm

Buckinghamshire

A six miles branch of the Grand Union Canal linking into the centre of Aylesbury. The Aylesbury Arm is one of the most peaceful stretches of canal in the country and passes through farmland with good views of the Chilterns. The hedgerow alongside the canal dates back 200 years and is still managed through the traditional practice of hedgelaying. Noctule and Daubenton's bats can be seen in the summer months.
