Kidsgrove to Stoke Ridgeway

Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent

An elevated green route, to walk from Kidsgrove Station to Stoke Station. An unofficial extension of the Gritstone Trail. 80% of the walk is off-road through or alongside woodland and parkland/pasture, and there are fine elevated views at numerous points. This is substantially a ridge and hill walk, designed for those who are bored with the dull level plodding of canal and lake walks - and so you must enjoy a constant variation of slopes, some of them quite steep.

UPDATE August/September 2023: We have been informed by an LDWA member that a short section of this LDP is closed between SJ 837518 and SJ 840515 (Bottom Farm and Baskeyfields Farm) near Peacock Hay, east of the A500/A34 roundabout to the south of Talke.
