Newtondale Trail

N Yorkshire

32 km / 20 miles
This walk links together the terminal stations of the North York Moors Railway, following Newton Dale northwards from Pickering across the moors to Grosmont, some sections close to the Railway and others following forest tracks and crossing the open moors high above the valley. The waymarked Newtondale Horse Trail describes a 35 miles long circular route along bridleways, starting and finishing in Pickering, basically providing alternative routes to and from Grosmont.
