Northumberland Coast Path

Northumberland

From Cresswell the trail hugs the coast as far as Bamburgh before heading inland to Belford and the Kyloe Hills, which offer panoramic coastal views. From here it joins St. Cuthbert's Way and returns to the coast at the causeway to Holy Island before continuing to Berwick.

The Aurum guide extends the described route to cover from central Newcastle to beyond Berwick to St Abbs, while the AONB guide covers Creswell to Berwick. The AONB webpage below also lists several other interesting publications for the coast.

Note that it is planned to change the line of the route to coincide with the England Coast Path.
