Taff Trail

Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taff

88 km / 55 miles

The Taff Trail for walkers and cyclists is mostly on converted railway lines also using former canals and forestry tracks. It runs along the Taff valley to Llandaff, Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil. From here the main route circles to the east of the Brecon Beacons via Talybont and Pencelli to Brecon. An alternative route via Neuadd reservoir caters for a circular between Merthyr and Brecon. At Gethin Woodland Park near Merthyr the Trail links with the Coed Morgannwg Way.
