The Beacons Way is the official trail of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority in Wales, passing east-west through major ranges of the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountain. The Brecon Beacons National Park is a significant protected landscape with some of the most spectacular upland scenery in Britain. The route involves remote and rugged terrain and some 8500ft of ascent and is designed for experienced walkers. As well as reaching many of the major peaks including Fan y Big, Pen y Fan, Fan Llia, Fan Hir, Fan Foel and Twyn Swnd, there are glacial lakes, ancient standing stones, churches and fine mountain views.

It traverses the Brecon Beacons between the Holy Mountain, Abergavenny and Llangadog. The route takes in Llanthony, Crickhowell, Llangynidir, Craig Cerrig-gleisiad, Craig-y-nos, Llanddeusant, and Carreg Cennen before its finish at Llangadog. It can be completed over eight consecutive days or explored as a series of linear walks. The route, mainly through open country, has very little lane or road walking. Some of the route is in common with the Cambrian Way but with easier alternatives.

The website provides 'Hints and Tips' and posts corrections and route diversions.
