High House in Seathwaite, at the head of the popular valley of Borrowdale, offers comfortable bunkhouse / hostel self-catering accommodation in a converted 16/17C farmhouse set within its own grounds. It is popular with walking and climbing clubs and is regularly used by outdoor education and corporate groups. Early booking is advised, especially for weekends. The building is let to one group at a time. Two dorms are available each with toilet, washbasin and shower. There is third dorm reserved for K-Fellfarers members and on some occasions club members may use this room during your stay. There's a common room with stove, easy chairs, library and dining area, a recently upgraded kitchen and car parking. You will need to bring sleeping bags or duvets plus sheets, pillows, tea towels, firelighters and food. Basic food (eg. milk) is available from the cafe in Rosthwaite and the nearest supermarket is in Keswick. Eco friendly washing up liquid is provided to aid the septic tank.
