Elan Valley Reservoir Challenge

This is a self-navigated route near Rhyader around reservoirs and on remote moorland requiring map and compass skills. Basic mapping is on the route's website below.

From the visitor centre the route goes past each one of the dams, follows rivers & reservoirs, explores woodland, climbs hills, and finally returns to the start point by tracing the old railway line that was used during dam construction.
