England Coast Path - Brean Down to Minehead

Somerset

Another section of the England Coast Path between Brean Down and Minehead. The route follows closely the Somerset coastline south from Brean Down, with excursions into Highbridge along the banks of the River Brue and Bridgwater along the banks of the River Parrett. From Hinkley Point it passes through the historic port of Watchet, before reaching Minehead to join the South West Coast Path.

At Hinkley, development work involves a diversion inland for the foreseeable future (May 2017), while the path is tide sensitive at Brean, Burnham, St Audries and Helwell Bay so high tide times should be checked.
