Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

55 km / 34 miles
The North Bucks Way was set up by the Ramblers Association in 1972. A walk from the Ridgeway at Chequers Nature Reserve to the county boundary at Pulpit Hill Nature Reserve crossing the Vale of Aylesbury and taking in a number of villages. It connects with the Cross Bucks Way at Addington. At Wolverton the waymarked Grafton Way (13 miles and on OS mapping) leads to Greens Norton to join with the Knightley Way (see Nene Way). The Tramway Trail (6 miles) provides an alternative connection between Quainton and Waddesdon, the route taking to the Brill Tramway and the grounds of Waddesdon Manor. The Ouse Valley Walk (13 miles) follows the River Great Ouse between Buckingham and Milton Keynes and connects with the North Bucks Way at Iron Viaduct. See Aylesbury Ring and Oxfordshire Way.

UPDATE October 2021 - We have been advised of several closures of sections of footpaths in Buckinghamshire, some of which are long-term until 2024, all relating to work on HS2. These may affect this LDP. It may be worth checking out Buckinghamshire County Council's website for the most up to date information.
