A traditional barn dating back to the 16th century, in the most remote of the Lakeland valleys, with outstanding views of Pillar and the adjacent fells. Excellent base for fell walking, rock climbing and cycling. On the Coast to Coast walk. There are three sleeping areas on first and second floors with room for up to 14 people. On the ground floor is a sitting room with wood-burning stove plus a separate cooking area with hot water. There is a bathroom on the first floor with toilet, basin and shower. Electric lighting is available throughout (no sockets). Evening meals and breakfasts are available if booked in advance
