Jack Mytton Way

Shropshire

From the northern edge of Wyre Forest, the Way follows a disused railway to Highley and the Severn Valley and goes across rolling farmland to Much Wenlock where it then follows the escarpment of Wenlock Edge, to cross Ape Dale and descend to Church Stretton. It climbs to the Long Mynd via the Cardingmill Valley, to reach Plowden and Clun Forest. It runs for a stretch alongside Offa's Dyke before finishing on the Shropshire/Powys border. An additional section from Detton Hall heads across to Rushbury, where it rejoins with the main route and a return on this makes a circa-25 mile circuit.
